how can i set/fix my accenta 8 mini alarm?

I had to replace the battery . The dial lights up ( power is there ) but there is no response at all to pressing any of the buttons . Any ideas ?

Make sure all tampers are defeated. Usually the spring tamper on the circuit board. Now try pressing reset a few times and see if system functions. The system should only reset once he panel lid is closed and pushing the tamper spring in.
