Have the above phone, the answer machine says its empty yet no one can leave a message. Please help!!!

Just got symphony 2210 to get the answer machine to record you have to set at 5 rings or less if not it will go to 1571,if you cant read instructions they era printed on BINATONE site on line,hope this helps,GED.
