My hotpoint mistral intelligent care ff92s fridge compartment has gone from +4c to room temp (+19c) freezer seems fine, but small build up of ice at the top of freezer. No error codes on display. Fridge/freezer normaly makes noises, since the day we bought it, but they have stopped. It's been suggested it could be the thermistors. I'm not great at DIY so please don't baffle me.

Hi

Common fault on these is grills blocked behind lower plastic grill below freezer door. Clean out all dust and fluff, then see if fridge temp lowers. If not it is usually the yellow thermister located inside freezer, remove drawers and you will find the removable panel at the back. I picked a thermister up on ebay for £6. Disconect from mains and simply plug in new one or try fully defrosting both fridge and freezer for 24 hous
