ROYAL CMS 8160 ERROR?

We have a royal cms 8160 we just bought but it wont clear a error message that keeps coming up...we have all the keys just cant clear a error message and of course get rid of that annoying beeeeeeeeeep it seems to be locked on. Any help with this would be great..thank you for taking time to read my post.

Sorry, this is more of a statement. I tried your solution, and it does not seem to work. Any other suggestions?

A low level clear will likely do it, but will erase all of your programmed tax, dept. etc. info.

Just pull the plug, wait a couple of minutes, then plug it in with the "C" key depressed. It should come up with a "0" on the display and all you should hear is the servo humming.
