Bissell Pro Heat 2X model 8910 won't pump soap?

Bissell Pro Heat 2x model 8910 won't pump soap but it will pump water. The belt is fine. Any ideas?

If the hose is spraying, then the pump is working. The pump is a common problem which is why the repair shop assumes that it is the problem, but their repair cost is way out of line. The more likely cause could be the heater. The heaters on these machines have been problematic in the past. The heater is heating water and soap and quite often they will plug up and then the water will not flow. The heater is used for the floor spray but not the hose. It is also possible that the floor spray jets are plugged or that the indicator dial is fouled with something and will not allow solution to flow. I would suggest finding a shop to take it to and make sure they find the trouble before repairing and give you a estimate
