Craftsman model 917.2559101 engine dies when blade clutch is engaged even with seat switch disconnected. What other dead man switches are there? In reverse? etc?

some models have a safety switch on the engagement lever as well as under the seat and another for the cluch/brake pedal

i had some problem but i had to have to seat plug connected for pto to run.

Your mower has an electric PTO clutch.
I'd suspect a problem with that clutch it's self.
