gbc ultima 65?

Our laminator does not seem to get as hot on one end as the other. It has been this way since it was new. (several years old). It has had broken heater tubes replaced and roller pressure adjusted through the years. Our maintenance tech has checked for a gap between the rollers. It has NEVER sealed as well on the left end as the right side. Any ideas of a problem to look for?

Sadly thats pretty common:( If you used a laser pointer temperature gun available from harbor freight 40 bucks you will likely find a cooler area on the roller. Those heater lamps dont necessarily put out the same temp all along their length. If you use the heat gun you can sometimes flip a heater lamp to improve things. In addition theres a screw on each top rollers end that sets roller pressure, sometimes you can increase the pressure a 1/2 turn to improve sealing on one end. Take a look at the wires and screws connecting the power lines to the lamp, if they get toasted looking it can cause poor heating... Hope this helps, bob
