Help please someone.
My wires are Blue, Brown and Green/Yellow stripes for the Earth.
My fitting was 4 years old, and was a straight line with L1,(Blue???) L2, O and the Earth symbol
I have a new box from Wilkinsons which has L1, L2, COM in a kind of rectangle. What one has which wire and where does the Earth go?
No symbol on box.
Help???

Hi if you are replacing a ceiling switch the L1 is for a one way switch L2 is for a 2 way switch and common is for the supply so if you only have the 1 switch the wiring will be live to common and the other wire to the light fitting. the earth is only used on metal light fittings
