Brother ES2010 Error Code E1?

Please could anyone let me know what the Error code E1 is on my Brother ES2010

E1 error message refers to the presser foot sensor.Ensure the presser foot is in the down position before you start sewing.If the foot is in the down position & the message still appears you will need to take the machine to a Brother dealer for repair.
