guttering leaking between joins ?

roof guttering leaking it looks like from where there is joining sections is this a clip issue or worse?

Hello i have just used this great product called CT1 the sealant works even if the surface is wet. Lifesaver and timesaver when it comes to sealing in wet or damp conditions you can also paint on it as well. 5 star product well recomended.

If plastic type, I would think clip issue, Thats all that stops it leaking at that point, the clips have seals around, that lock onto the guttering to stop leaks.
Old metal type etc, I believe used some sealant, at the overlap if they needed to join 2 sections, not sure, but again, seal of the joint issue.
