Zanussi ZWF 12280 W. Pump starts up and then stops wont go any further?

when the machine starts up the pump starts up and thats all. but when the machin starts up the door can be opended and the pump stays pumping. machin swiches off then. any ideas please. could it be the interlock?

should the door not lock its self? u can open it at the start.

remove the back and see if there is water in the base activating the anti flood system
