Worcester 9.24 hearslave combination boiler GC no 47.311.02 balance flued?

The pilot light keeps going out on release of the gas valve button. I have turned the button to the right and left for 3 mins as instructed but pilot light still goes out, does the gas valve unit need replacing. Prior to this fault the boiler would go out after running the hot water for a few minutes, but never went out when just using the heating! Are the faults linked?

This could be due to a malfunctioning pump not pumping the water round quick enough. Or maybe too many radiator's are closed and the water has no where to flow. Try opening two TRV's to full.

best advice would be a new boiler as parts are scarse now. thermocouple going out probably due to an overheat problem - pump or heat exchanger. Good luck!
