I have a Breville BRE997SSG for 6 Years. I Find it great as the Stainless Steel Body is easy to clean. It stopped Heating Food today. I unplugged the cable, Removed the 5 screws holding the outer casing, gently removed the long white plastic sausage case at the bottom next to the transformer, snapped it open, removed the fuse, which was blown and replaced the fuse. Case back on; Job took 15 Mins. Its good as new again.

Blown fuse in HV transformer primary circuit or HV fuse (if used).
Bad connections (particularly to magnetron filament).
Open thermal protector or thermal fuse.
Open HV capacitor, HV diode, HV transformer, or magnetron filament.
Shorted HV diode, HV capacitor (will blow a fuse), or magnetron.
Defective HV relay (not commonly used).

it could be theinternal fuse but more likly the magnatron not worth repairing cheaper to buy a new one
