How to get the pilot light to light on a potterton profile e80 boiler?

How to get the pilot light to light on a potterton profile e80 boiler. I tried the reset botton on the underneath panel of the boiler but no go. Cannot get any hot water or heating . Any suggestions

you say you've checked/reset the overheat cut out button
does the pilot flame completely envelope the thermocouple or does flame look weak?
if flame looks weak possibly blocked pilot injector
if pilot wont stay on i would test/change the thermocouple first
[very cheap & quick fix]
if that doest work then i would test/change overheat thermostat
[again cheap & quick fix]
if you're unlucky & these parts dont get pilot to stay alight then you are looking at the more expensive parts
namely gas valve & pcb
in that case you would need to call out an engineer
