rover 45 its very slow to pick up speed?

its slow to take off and it just gets faster it will just about make it up a hill in first gear

has the cat brokeh up inside and as you rev it it blocks hole with piece of pot when you shut of it moves so can go agian when pipe clears.l think they only bolt out with two bolts each end take it off and have a look as they often break up hitting speed bumps
