Cedar wood?

I bought a house with a cedar lean to fitted on the side. It has a glass roof, but due to the overlap not really being adequate, its letting a lot of water in. The previous owner used a lot of clear silicon to try to seal the glass to the cedar wood, but as cedar is oily, it hasnt worked.

Does anyone know any kind of sealant that will stick to both so I can get by until I can re roof it completely?
