2 possibilities here, first the magnetron, the thing that makes the microwaves has died, secondly maybe the dor safety interlock switches have failed/malfunctioned and blown the internal monitor fuse. Either way this is no place for the unskilled, there is a potention for death even wih the device unplugged if the high voltage (4000Volts) capacitor has not been discharged
