Scantronic 9448+style alarm?

My parents recently had a power cut at home and this seems to have disabled there alarm (scantronic 9448+style) the key pad is illuminated but not working, I have checked all three fuses and these seem ok, ordered a new battery, will this cure the problem or do I need to do anything else, bell sounds outside when I disconnect the battery. Thanks

Me safe matey, don't think she knows how to turn laptop on anyway, fek me if it wasn't for prox tag she never arm our system.

Me explained many times but the old goose can't grasp the concept. She is old skool technophobe, but hey she give me two great son's and makes a mean Sunday roast, :)

Nope had no probs with the 9448 either, good little panel, only downside is the occasional revert as gts has mentioned.

But hey no worries guys, only few secs for reprogramme in most cases, never been a big deal for me.

Maybe I should swap the wife for the EU 90 version?, guaranteed a lot less bother, :)

not much wrong with these puppies acorn, simple, cheap reliable, and easy to prog, more than you can say from some other units that cost more,we fit a lot of em,and have no complaints about the performance,

gts, August 2012
Ah, have never experienced that.

Don't have very much to do with low end panels.

if you read older posts you will see other guys had same prob

yes acorn,it has a nvm but i have had a few 9448,s that reverts back to factory settings after a full power loss, and needed to be reprog, thats why i mentioned it,does not happen all the time,

gts, August 2012
No NVM then? You sure?

acorn, August 2012
and you may need to reprog the system,

How did you check the fuses? Looking at them does not do it. A multimeter is needed. I'd suggest you DO need a new battery.
