I get hot water, but no central heating?

i get hot water, but no central heating,is it my drayton mid positon actuator valve, it is a Y plan system and the pump is working, how would i test the valve, the room stat clicks so i beleive it's functioning.my boiler is made by Ideal(icos) and the programmer is made by lifestyle. Check Motorised valve. Turn cylinder stat off (to zero )and room stat to off, you have to be at the motorised vavle. get someone to turn room stat to full demand. motorised valve spring arm should change position ( to CH mode) you should be able to hear and see it move postion if no response change valve head.

put all controls on callin for heating then feel the pipe from the valve to see if its letting hot water by. or turn the stat down listern to the valve and get someone to turn stat back up and you will hear the motor operate, if its a faulty motor operate the manual lever on the end and push it across to the open position
