GBC Ultima 65 - new rollers needed!!?

I am reading Bob Haller's info about these laminators. I work in a public school in East San Diego County (Pine Valley, CA). Any ideas who I could call or take this machine to have the rollers replaced? I was just going to order them but, it sounds like it might be beyond my maint dept abilities. Thank you for any info.

Are you planning on replacing the red heat rollers? You need to know they are around 500 bucks each new from GBC:( you should be able to buy a brand new ultimate 65 for 1500 bucks or less.

GBC makes good machines but the parts and service
prices are unreal:( A contact in california near LA reported GBCs first hour service call charge was 500 bucks, more as you get futher from LA. Around pittsburgh the first hour rate is $317 bucks.

Even a 6 buck circuit breaker on a GBC ultimate 65 is $49.00 from GBC........

What you might be able to do, if you have a old scrap ultimate 65 sitting around somewhere is scrap it for the rollers, if they are in decent shape. Even if they arent you would have a sample of how it goes together. Try job first on a junk machine you have nothing to loose:)

if you try feel free to call me anytime phone help support is always free. The other day I got a call from a nice lady in hawaii, and hopefully helped her fix 2 machines, the problems were pretty simple......
