Bonnett lock and warning icon?

I have a 2009 titanium ford fiesta and having put water in the bottle wash the bonnet would not shut no matter how hard I slammed it. It finally shut but the "bonnet warning keeps coming up on the screen and the bonnet icon stays light. Is it easily fixed?
