car radio, grundig 200, for vauxhall corsa,?

I have my code for the car radio and managed to get the radio working but this week after driving for an hour the car radio went off and the word PHONE appeared on the dashboard? I have tried to re-enter the code as I thought PHONE is a SAFE mechanism but no joy, it keeps PHONE on at all times and the radio is not working? It has no car phone that I can see...anybody help?

Sounds like the car200 has an internal fault, hardly worth repairing get a used vauxhall stereo car200/300/400 all will work in the corsa but be sure to get the code when you buy!!

Normally I'd say that something is interfering with ISO connector A1 (phone mute). (The line that is normally 12v is going to 0v for some reason.) Have a look at wires in the connector that supplies power to the radio (as opposed to the speaker connector). Having said that I seem to remember than Vauxhall/Opel don't always comply to ISO.
