citadel xr2 alarm fault. please help!!?

Hi, I have a CITADEL XR2 alrm (Product Code: INT-XR2). We recently had a power cut and even though the lights on the remote keypads come on none of them now do anything. There are no 'green' or 'red' lights lit up at the bottom. If the fuse is removed the alarm sounds - but it does not sound if either of the covers are taken off. Is there a 'reset' button or something I have missed, please? If the power is turned off the alarm does sound - it seems that the keypads - although lit up - don't work any longer. Please help. Regards, Rich

Thank you for the advice - and the unnecessary, unwanted sarcasm (keyboard warriors: safe behind their monitors!) I have changed the battery, which has stopped the alarm sounding when the power is turned off - thank you - but the keypad is still not functioning. The the numerical pads are lit up, but not the 'day' or 'power' ones at the bottom and pressing them does nothing or even sounds like before. When the front is off the main box the tamper alarm does not sound either. I have checked the fuses and all appear intact, is here anything more I can do or check myself myself, please? Thank you for any help, Rich

Another one!

Ever replaced the battery? No, of course not, it's a rechargeable one and lasts for ever - NOT.
