My fan is not working after replacing the heating element?

I've just replaced the heating element on my Neff cooker (using a YouTube clip), having switched the oven back on the fan is not turning and the heating element is not warming up? Please help!

Thanks sd. When I turn the power on the element and fan do work for c10 secs but then stop. It doesn't trip the fuse and only works some times.
I've checked all the connections and these seem ok.
Starting to drive me mad.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Check then check again the connections that you did. And any other ones nearby. Would think connection off.
