zanussi E40 error code ?

replaced my door interlock switch to try and clear my E40 fault code and the code is still displaying E40 , HELP?

was there a brown burn mark on the old door lock in the middle.If so it has probably blown the main pcb output to the door lock.This requires a new pcb
