i was given a new phone as a present but I can't get a dialling tone or use it. My old phone works fine but the new one will not work in any other room either.I have set it up correctly with the LCD display etc but it is dead. I tried ringing a friend but could hear no ringing although she obviously did hear it as she phoned me back on my phone in the bedroom.
