when the main cooker switch is turn on the fuse blows and there is a flash coming from the back panel, i had a electrician friend take the back panel of and the wiring looks fine and there doesnt seem to be any scorch marks were the flash came from. please help i have so far blew four fuses. x

Well you can be pretty sure that there's a fault and if you put in another fuse that will blow just like all the others.

It was kind of your electrician friend to take a look but now is the time for you to engage the services of a more experienced and qualified specialist - domestic appliance repairs - yellow pages.

The fault requires diagnosis.
