When the machine is running the blades stop moving when I try to cut anything thicker than a twig although the engine keeps running. Can I adjust the tension on some sort of clutch?

i had same problem, take the blade out and you will see a cross shape. the corners will be rounded off, you can weld them or a friend can to make a sharpe point. that will cure it for a short time. new blades are £70. buy a new one is the answer. poor tool ime afraid
