my samsung side bt side keeps tripping out the rcd on the defrost cylcle ?

Samsung SRS583HDP I think
side by side with water and ice
The fridge works perfectly and it was a electrician that said it was probably the defrost cycle

hi yes fairly common on most samsung ff ,

most likley the defrost element

you can unplug the heater which will allow you run the ff untill you get the parts ..

call ally 07407 734 204 for samsung tech advice - parts etc ..

Hi Kurt

Sounds like your defrost element has gone.
It looks like a small oven element at the back of the freezer(usually hidden behind a metal plate) It usually sits below the freezer fins and defrosts any ice they may build up over say 12 to 24 hours.
When it goes into defrost mode the faulty element then trips out your RCD.

I know because my Westinghouse frost free fridge freezer was doing the same thing till I tested and changed mine.
