after the machine has done a full cycle water is left at the bottom of the machine i have checked the fillters and they are clear

Have you tried checking the discharge pump ? You can get to it easily enough... Remove the drain plate and circular filter in the bottom of the machine. there should be a small 'star' screw (you might need to get a special socket to undo it) that holds the cover to the impeller pump.
