why are the wash and rinse flashing at the same time on myAquarius dishwasher I have turned it off at mains to reset. I worked once and the went back to the flashing mode. that is the question

The 1st & 3rd lights are flashing. It's a rented property and the display has been worn away. I believe they are Prewash & Rinse indicator lights. Both are flashing together. It stopped mid-cycle.
