I have a mountfield rv150 that will not start. The main problem is that there is no compression. I was given this mower to fix/pillage, but am determined to get it started. I was told that it smoked, lost revs and then made a grinding/grating sound, and stopped working. Any ideas?

don't waste your money. the piston/bore is ruined and thats what broke the conrod-- DUMPIT.

Never mind, found out that it's arm connected the piston that's gone. The bracket that holds the arm to the crankshaft was completely sheared. Waiting for new piston assembly to be delivered.
