hi gts its frozen again i have to replace it

hi, its a normal alarm zone for patio doors its just additional security.
i will do the sensible thing and switch the panel off and if that incudes the bellbox going off so be it i coudn't care less if it annoys the neighbor as long as my 9600 alarm doesn't get hurt again thats my main concern. i will let you now how i get on in a weeks time until see then see you soon and thanks again

Touchy :P
And I think I covered all the eventualities.
A separate zone if it is going to be new is better so if there is a fault you can trace it better.

ignore alarm guy jim I don't get hang overs, safer to remove all power you don't say if you want the door contact to be an entry exit zone,if you do then wire it up to zone one,(that's the norm for ee)remove one wire from zone one, connect one wire from new contact,to the wire you took of the panel, then fit the other wire from the new contact to zone one on the panel, thev switch wires go to the silver contacts on reed switch, the tamper wires are twisted together on the door contact ,you cant miss them

You will obviously need to put it in engineers to stop the tamper circuit activating, or put your code in when you remove the old contact ( I assume you mean replace a old one).
Then wire it as the old one. The ( Again assuming a standard flush contact) silver screws being the "switch" and the brass ones for holding the tamper pair. ( Only use one). Unless of course it is EOL and has resistors. In that case take a picture of the way they are fitted.
If adding a new one, look how the old is fitted and copy that. Then programme a new zone as required. NA Normal Alarm, FE Final Exit, ER Entry Route ect.
