If buttons are not working it is unlikely to be fixed by a "reset". (I guess you mean to factory settings?)
It is far more likely to be a mechanical fault, caused by the ingress of foreign matter into the keyboard.
Your choices are strip the keyboard and clean it or buy a new phone.
