I have a 3 button crane & viceroy atomic watch but no instructions. I have put in a new battery and had no trouble resetting it. I now wish to put the watch into store and in order to save the battery I would like to know the correct procedure so that I can restart it later without problems.

You might consider taking the battery out.

Over time batteries tend to leak and corrode and mess things up.
