How can I get my kenmore ultra wash to drain?

My Kenmore ultra wash will not drain. After the wash cycle the bottom is still full of water. I have checked the lines where do I look now ?

If the dishwasher fills and empties during the wash cycle then it is probably a control/timer problem

If it does not fill/empty during normal wash it may be the solenoid which deflects the pump output from the wash arms to the drain
