The key pad tone and beeps have gone so quiet I can hardly hear them, the alarm sets fine, anyone any ideas please?

My Paragon alarm has done the same. The main unit now makes no audible beeps when the house alarm is set up. The alarm still works, but no sound on pressing the code buttons for putting on the alarm. Oddly, every say 30 times the sound on the number keys comes back.
