My Simpson does everything it should but has stopped agitating on the wash cycle. It fills to start a wash then goes on strike. Will pump out water and spin okay on the spin cycle. It's almost as though it has put the brakes on for the wash cycle. Any suggestions appreciated.

This model has problems with the soldered joints on the main control board. The solder cracks and sometimes burns away. If you are able to remove and inspect the control board and have a soldering iron & the skill to use it then you can repair it. If not then you will have to call out a technician.
