cannot get radio to respond?

hcd spz90dab stereo unit from sony.every thing works except the radio all I get is "tuning" flashing on the screen no sound at all from radio

Does the system have an aerial for the radio? If not, you may need to connect an external aerial in order to get the radio to 'tune-in'. Hope that helps 'coz I've no other ideas!
