I have a 9448+ Scantronic alarm, there is power to it has the numbers on the control panel are backlit,but their is the top display which should glow steadily when mains power is present is not lit up,it is not flashing either,can you suggest what might be the problem,the back up battery is only showing 9v,could this be causing the problem.

That panel wil boot and function without a standby battery.Its reverted to factory settings.

also check the transformer for bulges ,this unit burns out the transformer around about ten years or so easy to spot ,if it has you need fit a new panel

and you may find that ur code wont reset the panel,it may have reverted to the factory code ,1234 if it has u will need to reprogramme the panel
