Bosch dishwasher?

It takes in some water but only enough so I can just see the water level above the filter. I'm sure it used to get quite a lot in the base (about 5-6 cm. deep) The arms don't spin around but water pours out of the holes in them. Have cleaned arms etc so I don't think that's the problem. Someone suggested putting extra water in during the cycle so tried that, I put in several jug fulls and all works fine?!?! Why does it not take in more water?

I guess its some sort of sensor or switch that's failed.
I've thoroughly cleaned everything out as far in and down as I can reach.
The water pressure is so good we get a power shower every time we use the kitchen tap ,so that can't be the problem!
Anyone else any ideas or some clue what the part would be that's failed so I can find out whether its worth replacing or not?!

maybe whatever tells the machine what the water level is, has failed.

Maybe the inlet is clogged and isn't letting enough through

Is the tap full on?
