04 megane convertible?

hi all
ive just bought a megane convertabile today. the key card is not working. once i put itin too start the engine it keeps SAYING CARD NOT RECOGNISED. It also keeps stalling at a junction is this what anyone else is experiencing????

PlEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
