Second door contact?

Hi, I have the Veritas 8 alarm panel in my shed with one door contact. It is wired from the door contact red and black wires go to Zone1 and the blue and yellow go to the tamper terminals in the panel. I now wish to add a new door contact going to a second shed, I have wired the contact exactly as the original one, do I take the red and black wires to Zone2 and twist the blue to blue and yellow to yellow and insert them back in the tamper terminals. Any advise much appreciated, thanks, Phil

Hi Phil, yes exactly as you describe.

Many thanks for this info, just one point do I need to keep the wire colours together, by this I mean can I remove the existing yellow wire from the terminal on the panel and twist it to the new blue one and then put the new yellow wire into the tamper terminal, in the panel, so I still have one yellow and one blue wire going to the terminals in the panel (I hope this makes some sort of sense to you). The alarm loop will be fine as you describe, the tamper loop needs to be wired in series. ie imagine a loop starting at the control panel going to the contact, from the contact to the next contact and returning to the control panel. In practice to do this take one of the existing tamper cores from the tamper terminal on the control panel, twist this with one of the cores going to the new contact (insulate and don’t connect to the panel) and take the return core from the new contact and connect this to the tamper terminal which is now vacant.
