Singer Sewing Machine 427 Thread take up lever?

Singer Sewing Machine 427. I need to put in a new Thread Take Up lever as the previous one broke after a fall.
I have a second machine I bought for spares which I am trying to take apart for the lever.
Do any instructions for this exist before I start?
