How can I fix my Sansa MP3 player?

When I tried to replace the battery in my Sansa c140 1GB MP3 player, something happened so that I not only lost all of my data, but I couldn't put new data on. Also, when I try to access my photo menu, it freezes. Why does it happen and how can I repair it?

Try formatting the player. If you encounter same problem try calling their Tech Support and ask for the Firmware of that player, only them have the firmware. (it's not posted on the website)
