How do I fix my Siren mp3?

My Siren 512mb Mp3 player says, "wrong format" when I turn it on but when i connect it to my computer it won't let me reformat it.

If you used MP4 format music, from iTunes, the player can't play it. It will play MP3's but not 4's (Apple is sweet like that). So yeah that's the problem.
