Neff Oven does not get hot (U1421)?

My Neff oven (fitted) U1421 NOGB106 does not heat up. The fan is working and the red temperature light comes on at the switch. The top oven and grill (separate to the main oven) are working fine. Will it be the element and if so how do I repair it?

Thanks to this useful answer it only cost me £20 to replace the element instead of £85 + VAT + £60 cost of part. The link for where to order spares does not work now (7/2009) but I got one online from espares (www.espares.co.uk).

Not an answer but just a note of thanks to Lee.
I'm really grateful for your excellent response.
Clear instructions saved me a great deal of time taking the oven out to look for the fault.
I'd never have thought to have tried access from inside.
As soon as I took the cover off I could see where the element had blown.
Thanks again.

Hi Beccy,

Yes this will be your element - Power off before repair:

The repair can be done entirely from inside the oven.

1. Remove 4/6 screws holding on the back plate inside oven. Which will expose the element and fan blades.

2. Remove the 3 screws holding the element in place.

3. carefully remove the element and detach the wires connected to it - noting there positions.

4. Replace with an element from us:
