How can I fix my alarm/immobiliser on Renault Megane?

Can an ordinary alarm fitter fix my alarm/immobiliser on my 1998 renault megane or do I have to go to a main dealer.

buy a total fix from ebay..bypasses immobiliser for ever..or recode key via emergency number yourself..or take out unit..dry it out with hairdryer or radiator..spray it with wd40 and refit..if none of those work then its a new unit..most suffer from damp ,especially if you have a sunroof and wash the car or rain gets in...so these should fix it without extotionate cost at dealer where they will prob do same and charge you..the unit is in the center console in the headlining...and is easy to remove..the unit just plugs in...save £250 and treat the missus to a weekend away...dont give it to rip off dealers

I have just had to have my key repaired, re-coded and new batteries in the key (the only one i have) at my local Renault dealer.

Total cost............£92 scandalous!

No other garage or workshop would touch it and I was costantly informed that there was no way of bypassing the system.
