my ford 6000cd player has e12 fault on the cd player?

what could be causing my ford cd player to be coming up with a e12 fault on, thi sprevents any cd from playing

You need to disconnect the stereo from the battery (just disconnect the battery positive lead) for a few minutes, then reconnect. Enter your security code for your stereo and the error 'E12' should disappear....!!
