evil saunier duval combi boiler?

can anyone help me with my HORRIBLE boiler? It leaks, it whistles, and my showers are luke warm on a good day. Is it something simple or should I take a sledge hammer to it and start again?

It was dead by the time I got home from work yesterday (just in time for the snow!) Thank you for your advice. Now I know all Saunier's are this bad I'm not going to waste money fixing it and will start again with a new one. £2000 later... Thanks Saunier!

i have one of these useless boilers that was put in less than 18mths ago, at the moment broken down again, BG are awaiting the parts. Always had problems with it, my advice would be a sledgehammer if you can afford a new boiler, BG yesterday said I should of gone for a Vailant.!!
